Přednáška pro Deutsche Akademische Austauschdienst na téma zavedení eura v České republice.

In 2019 two monetary anniversaries are comemorated: 100 years of the Czech crown and 20 years of the common EU currency Euro. Joining the euro area is purely political, not the economic problem, nevertheless, the consequences of the monetary union are economic. The aim of this contribution is to clarify why the small open economy as the Czech Republic needs its own sovereign currency not only in the stormy time of crisis, but also in the shine of economic boom.
